Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-05-16
LDL Reduction is designed so that your health data never leaves your device. This policy explains exactly what the app accesses and how it is used.
What the app accesses
With your explicit permission, the app reads the following from Apple Health, read-only:
- Heart rate samples
- Resting heart rate
- Date of birth (used only to estimate age-based maximum heart rate)
The app does not write any data to Health.
How the data is used
Heart-rate samples are processed on your device to calculate how much time you spent in moderate and vigorous intensity ranges, and your progress toward a weekly cardio target associated with LDL cholesterol reduction. This calculation happens locally.
What is stored
- Your profile inputs, such as age, resting heart rate, and weekly target, are stored locally on your device using app preferences.
- Heart-rate samples are read on demand for the requested day, week, or month and are not stored persistently by the app.
What is not done
- No data is transmitted off your device.
- No analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party SDKs are included.
- Health data is never sold or shared, and is never used for advertising or marketing.
- The app does not create user accounts and does not collect contact information.
Background activity
The app may schedule a background refresh task to compute a daily summary. This computation runs locally on your device.
Children
The app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Medical disclaimer
This app is for informational and motivational purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Consult a qualified clinician for cholesterol management and before changing your exercise routine.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new effective date.
